The Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm) in Pharmacology is a two-year postgraduate programme focused on advanced knowledge and practical training in drug action, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, toxicology, experimental pharmacology, and drug discovery. The programme provides hands-on exposure to in-vitro, in-vivo, cellular,
molecular, and preclinical research methodologies. Key research areas include neuropharmacology, cardiovascular pharmacology, inflammation and pain, diabetes, toxicology, cellular and molecular pharmacology, and drug discovery. The department is supported by modern laboratory facilities equipped with UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, PCR/RT-PCR, Gel Electrophoresis, Western Blotting, Microplate/ELISA Reader, Stereotaxic Apparatus, BIOPAC, Cell Counter, CO₂ Incubator, Biosafety Cabinet, Centrifuge, Fluorescence Microscope, Physiograph, and various behavioural and pharmacological
models, along with a CCSEA-approved/registered Animal House. The programme prepares graduates for opportunities in pharmaceutical R&D, preclinical research, toxicology, clinical research, biotechnology, regulatory research, academia, and drug discovery.
