About Course
M. Pharm in Pharmaceutics is a two-year postgraduate specialization focused on advanced pharmaceutical formulation, drug delivery and product development. The program provides comprehensive knowledge and practical training in preformulation, dosage-form design, formulation development, evaluation and optimization of conventional and advanced drug delivery systems, with emphasis on patient-centric and scientifically validated pharmaceutical
products. Key research areas include Novel Drug Delivery Systems (NDDS), nanotechnology-based delivery, lipid and polymeric systems, controlled and targeted drug delivery, transdermal and topical formulations, formulation optimization, Quality by Design (QbD), Design of Experiments (DoE), drug–excipient compatibility, in-vitro drug release,
stability and advanced pharmaceutical and cosmetic formulations. The department provides well-equipped laboratories and specialized facilities to support postgraduate teaching, formulation development, characterization, analytical evaluation and research. The specialization prepares graduates for diverse career opportunities in pharmaceutical R&D,
formulation and product development, pharmaceutical technology, production, quality assurance and control, regulatory affairs, CROs, academia and doctoral research, while equipping them to address contemporary challenges related to solubility, stability, bioavailability, controlled release and targeted drug delivery.
